The Hingham Housing Authority offers a variety of supportive services empowering residents to move towards an enriched life. Programs offered can assist in arranging supportive services, increase earning capacity and set you on a path to self-sufficiency.

Elderly/Disabled Support Services Coordinator

The Hingham Housing Authority offers a multitude of services and support to elderly and/or disabled individuals residing in our elderly developments. The Elderly/Disabled Support Services Coordinator, Judy Morris can be reach at 617-847-4350 ext. 902. Judy coordinates the Food Bank Deliveries and ensures Support Services is available to all families residing in our elderly developments.

Family Resident Services Coordinator

The Family Resident Services Coordinator, Christine Cunningham can be reach at 617-847-4350 ext. 906. Christine provides assistance in obtaining local resources, as well as making referrals to community based services available to the state families in our community.

Family Self Sufficiency Program

The Family Self Sufficiency Program (FSS) is a voluntary program designed to assist participants in the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program achieve economic independence.  The Family Self-Sufficiency Program works with support agencies throughout the South Shore and Boston to assist families in developing the strengths, skills and experience necessary to achieve economic independence.  Your FSS coordinator will assist you in setting goals in education, career development, debt resolution, financial stability, increased income and homeownership.  As your earned income increases, some of your increased rent payment shall be set aside in an account for you.  If you achieve all your goals set out in your Individual Training and Service Plan, and successfully complete the program, you may withdraw your escrow funds to use as you determine appropriate.  If you are interested in the Family Self Sufficiency Program, please contact the office. Farmers Market

Farmers Markets are held weekly at the community center, during the spring, summer and fall seasons.  You can purchase the freshest fresh fruits and vegetables direct from the farm!  All forms of payment are accepted, SNAP, HIP, cash and credit. Please check calendars for details.  (Coming soon)
